The QZ submersible axial-flow pump is an upgrade to the traditional split-unit unit. The motor driving the pump is a dry, fully enclosed, submersible three-phase asynchronous motor. This unit’s pump and motor are coaxially integrated, enabling long-term submersible operation. It offers a range of advantages unmatched by traditional units. Because the pump and motor are integrated and submersible, the labor-intensive and time-consuming on-site assembly process of aligning the pump and motor axes is eliminated, making on-site installation convenient and fast. Submersible operation significantly simplifies the pump station’s civil engineering components, reduces installation floor space, and saves 30%-40% of the total construction cost. Submersible operation offers low noise levels, improved motor cooling, and zero high temperatures and noise interference within the pump station, improving the station’s operating environment. Furthermore, fully underground pump stations can be constructed as required, preserving the surface environment. Operation is flexible, allowing the unit to be started and stopped at any time, eliminating the need for pre-startup lubrication of the pump’s rubber bearings. Remote and automatic control are readily available. The unit is easily disassembled and maintained. The use of this unit is a solution to flood control problems in riverside and lake areas with large water level fluctuations. It eliminates the long shaft between the pump and the motor, thus improving operational reliability.
